Salvagnini Operator

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Salvagnini Operator for our client in the Eastern Columbus, Ohio, area.  This is a full time, second shift position with initial training on first shift.  

The role involves operating an automated folder/bender, similar to Press Brake operations, and supports various departments on the shop floor including Fabrication, Hardware insertion, and Assembly.

Responsibilities

• Train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.
• Support various departments on the shop floor.
• Participate in on-the-job cross-training.

Experience Required

• 1-2 years of experience in Machining, Press Brake, bending, or Metal Fabrication.

Required Skills

• Top-notch print reading and interpretation skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to accurately measure and record part dimensions using calipers, protractor, and squares.
• Demonstrated detail orientation.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a Job Shop environment.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards is beneficial.
• Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (average parts run 2-25 lbs).

Preferred General Fabrication Skills

• Ability to learn hardware insertion tasks.
• Operate finishing equipment such as a Fladder, hand grinders, and deburring equipment.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including a rivet gun.
• High attention to detail and fine tactical ability.
• Pallet jack experience.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

This position varies somewhat in assignment based on the needs of the business, so no day is exactly the same. We operate in a job shop production environment and require someone who is very dependable, able to meet the physical demands of the position, and open to coaching and training.
