Job Description

As a Sample Lab Compounder on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving and measuring ingredients using scales, mixing various components, and handling solids with hot plates. You will also identify ingredients that require dilution, perform the dilution processes, and meticulously record the usage of raw materials. Maintaining quality standards through verifying weights, contents, and conducting in-process batch inspections is essential. You will document all process events and adhere to established procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and mix ingredients using scales.
• Identify and melt solids using hot plates.
• Dilute ingredients as necessary and maintain accurate records of raw material usage.
• Maintain quality standards by verifying weights and contents, conducting batch inspections, and documenting processes.
• Process liquids, powders, and perform homogenizing and spray dry methods of compounding.
• Follow batch instructions to weigh dyes and other substances accurately.
• Check consistency in batches and measure the viscosity of mixtures.
• Take samples and submit them to the laboratory for testing.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and document completed work accurately.
• Wear a uniform and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Essential Skills

• 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience with powders and raw materials.
• Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience handling raw materials.

Work Environment

This role operates in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment. The working hours are from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, on the 2nd shift. The company promotes a collaborative and safety-conscious atmosphere where wearing a uniform and proper PPE is mandatory.

The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.
