• Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4• Valid drivers license• Minimum two 2 years working experience in an Underground mine• At least one 1 year working experience as a Sampling Assistant or similar role in a hard-rock tabular underground mining environment• Proficient in Microsoft suite excel word outlook• Medical Certificate of FitnessAs our Sampling Assistant some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to·Assist with sampling and density measurements• Cutting of channel-sections with diamond-saw machine• Sampling of surface materials including stockpiles when required• General upkeep of the core yard• Packing and unpacking of the core trays when required• Splitting of core with diamond saw• Carrying samples and equipment• Transporting of samples to laboratory when required
