Job summary:
sand blaster's primary responsibility is to clean and prepare surfaces by removing paint, rust, dirt, and other contaminants using specialized sandblasting equipment, ensuring a smooth and even finish on materials like metal, often in preparation for painting or further coating; key tasks include operating sandblasting machinery, setting up protective masking, inspecting surfaces, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Skills and Qualifications:
Have at least 2 or more years of experience
Have good communication
Have steeltoe shoes
Mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot sandblasting equipment
Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and consistent results
Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety protocols
Physical stamina to work in potentially demanding positions and environments
Ability to read and interpret work instructions
Basic understanding of surface preparation techniques
