Position Title: Sand Lake Elementary Head Custodian

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Two (2) year Vocational/Technical degree in maintenance related area preferred.
  • Three years of cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal motivation and ability to fully develop the skills of staff by understanding and acting upon what motivates staff.
  • Demonstrated competency performing installation, maintenance, and repair in a majority of the following:
  • Managing and directing the activities of the building custodial staff in a way that optimizes efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Care and upkeep of facility structural/finishes and the proper use of products and equipment to accomplish this.
  • Care and upkeep of facility mechanical systems.
  • Care and upkeep of site and grounds.
  • Ordering, Storage, and utilization of custodial products and materials.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships between co-workers
  • Develop an environment that promotes teamwork.

Reports To: Director of Facility Services and Facility Services Manager

Terms of Employment: This is a 12-month position for 8.0 hours per day, from approximately 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Salary, benefits and employment terms per the Employee Handbook.
