Sanitation Associate

Job Title: Sanitation Associate
Location: Brockport, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Sanitation Associate to support food manufacturing operations in Brockport, NY. This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, machinery, and work areas to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate:

• $17.20 – $20.00/hour

Shift:

• 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize machinery, equipment, and cold storage areas following established sanitation procedures
• Follow the company's sanitation processes to ensure food safety and quality standards are met
• Safely handle and apply approved cleaning chemicals and sanitation agents
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when cleaning equipment
• Prepare equipment and work areas for the next production shift
• Maintain sanitation tools, equipment, and supplies
• Identify and report food safety, quality, or sanitation concerns
• Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation as required
• Follow all GMP, HACCP, SQF, and workplace safety requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling and cleaning procedures preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
• Reliable transportation required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Food manufacturing environment with exposure to moisture, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as needed
• Must be comfortable working in refrigerated and cold storage environments
• Required use of PPE and adherence to all food safety and workplace safety requirements
