Sanitation Associate I

Job Summary:
A leading distribution and logistics company is seeking a dependable Sanitation Associate to support warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization at their Calera, AL facility. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build warehouse experience with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position.

Contract Details:
- Location: 1000 Sysco Dr, Calera, AL 35040
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (training schedule); standard hours 8 per day / 40 per week
- Duration: Approximately 15 weeks (608 total hours)
- Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness throughout designated warehouse areas
- Travel through assigned warehouse sections to collect and remove debris, including wood pieces, shrink wrap, label backings, and other waste materials
- Move pallets as needed to clean underneath and around storage areas
- Dust warehouse racks and storage locations
- Mop and clean floors and work areas
- Assist with material movement when necessary

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependable and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in warehouse cleaning or sanitation
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices
