Job Summary
Our client, a leading meat and food processing company, is seeking a Sanitation Associate for an on-site contract role in Hampshire, IL. The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining company facilities and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition in accordance with company standards and sanitation requirements. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with 0 3 years of experience and requires the ability to work in a cold and wet environment while performing a variety of cleaning and facility maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of company facilities, production areas, and exterior grounds.
- Complete custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning.
- Assist with dishwashing and laundry services as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas and workspaces.
- Support the upkeep and organization of parking areas and company grounds.
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and company procedures.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with facility cleaning and sanitation.
- Knowledge of custodial duties (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning).
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.
- Adherence to sanitation and safety procedures.
- Steel-toe boots (PPE required).
Preferred Qualifications
- 0 3 years of experience in sanitation, custodial, or food processing environments.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience with dishwashing or laundry services.
About the Role
- Contract duration: Approximately 816 total hours.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM start, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Location: On-site in Hampshire, IL.
- Travel: None required (0%).
