Sanitation Associate I

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Sanitation Associate for their Hampshire, IL facility. This entry-level role is responsible for maintaining company facilities and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition in accordance with company standards and sanitation requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in a cold and wet environment.

Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months (1,056 total hours)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM start, 8-hour days (40 hours/week)
Location: Hampshire, IL (on-site)
Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of facilities, production areas, and exterior grounds
- Complete custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning
- Assist with dishwashing and laundry services as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas and workspaces
- Support upkeep and organization of parking areas and company grounds
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and company procedures

Required Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment for extended periods
- Willingness to perform physical, hands-on cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Basic understanding of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a custodial, sanitation, or facility maintenance role
- Experience in a food production or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with proper sanitation protocols in commercial settings
