Job Description:

Job Title: Sanitation Manager Work Location: Los Angeles, CA Work Hours: 9:00PM - 6:00AM (3rd shift) FLSA: Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-Time OVERVIEW: An established food manufacturer in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee and standardize sanitation operations across four production facilities. This is a high-responsibility role overseeing a 20+ member sanitation team and ensuring consistency in sanitation quality, procedures, and compliance across all sites. The Sanitation Manager will work closely with on-site Supervisors and Leads at each facility to drive alignment and execution under a unified sanitation system. In this role, you will serve as the central owner of sanitation standardization, audit readiness, and food safety compliance across a multi-site manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in USDA/FDA-regulated environments, capable of leading multiple teams while maintaining strict regulatory and operational standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO: Oversee sanitation operations in the Los Angeles area (worksite may vary) Lead and develop sanitation teams, including Leads and Supervisors (20+ staffs) Manage and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, GMP, FSMA, and SQF standards Conduct ATP and allergen testing to verify sanitation effectiveness Oversee proper chemical handling, safety, and storage Lead internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness Perform regular facility inspections and implement improvements Partner with QA/QC and Maintenance teams to support food safety and operational efficiency QUALIFICATIONS: 7+ years of experience in food manufacturing environments 3-5 years of sanitation leadership experience (multi-site preferred) Strong knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, and FSMA Preventive Controls Experience in SQF-certified facilities preferred. PCQI certification preferred Solid understanding of LOTO procedures, OSHA regulations, and plant safety programs Proven ability to lead and manage supervisors across multiple locations Experience leading regulatory and third-party audits Spanish bilingual required Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills Proficiency in reporting systems and documentation management

Willingness to travel domestically and work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends)
