As a Permanent Sanitation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our organization. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires a dynamic individual who is capable of managing a team and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our facilities. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in GMP, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA, Food Safety, Sanitation Procedures, Sanitation, GFSI, and SQF will be put to the test.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation procedures and programs in compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA, Food Safety, Sanitation, GFSI, and SQF standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that sanitation procedures are being followed and the facility is meeting all regulatory standards.
  • Train and oversee sanitation staff, ensuring they are well-versed in all sanitation procedures and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any sanitation concerns and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Manage and maintain sanitation equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available.
  • Respond promptly to sanitation emergencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and industry standards, making necessary adjustments to sanitation procedures and policies.
  • Regularly report on sanitation activities, challenges, and achievements to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation management role, preferably within the food industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of sanitation regulations and standards, including GMP, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA, Food Safety, Sanitation, GFSI, and SQF.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sanitation procedures and programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in GMP, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA, Food Safety, Sanitation, GFSI, and SQF are a plus.
