POSITION SUMMARY: Wholesale Produce Supplys has full-time Sanitation positions in our Warehouse and Fresch Produce areas! If you have the qualifications, competencies we are looking for and are able to work in colder temperatures, we will train the perfect candidate.

POSITION SPECIFICS

• Compensation Information: $17 to $19/hour
• Schedule/Shift Information: 1st and 2nd Shifts
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, FSA, Life Insurance, 401K and Paid time off.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Understand, develop, and refine sanitation SSOPs in order to develop training capability, as well as implementing best practices
• Cleaning and Sanitizing of production equipment, and the entire facility
• Monitor and verify the effectiveness of sanitation
• Identify, report, and problem solve conditions or practices that may compromise food safety or overall sanitation effectiveness
• Other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings.
• Strong attention to detail and tenacious follow-up
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Must be able to read, understand and speak English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Previous sanitation experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be able to stand, walk, twist, turn, bend, the entire shift
• Lift up to 40lbs
• Ability to wear personal protection equipment (PPE)- Masks, goggles, aprons, hairnets, boots
• Must be able to work in 35-38 degree temperatures
