The Sanitation Supervisor oversees sanitation operations, staff, and compliance within a production environment. This role ensures all cleaning processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are met while supporting efficient plant operations and audit readiness.
This is a full time position that works a 12 hour shift every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, assign, and supervise sanitation team workflow and daily activities
Maintain sanitation schedules, chemical inventories, and proper documentation
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, and safety regulations
Train employees on sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices
Conduct inspections, audits, and environmental testing (swabbing)
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Coordinate pest control activities and track trends
Support production schedules and collaborate with other departments
Manage employee performance, scheduling, and timekeeping
Prepare for and support third-party and customer audits
Requirements:
Prior Experience in leadership role in sanitation, food manufacturing, or production environments required.
Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, SQF, GMP) and regulatory compliance
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to train and supervise employees effectively
