Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor | Night Shift
Location: Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire, Onsite
Target Compensation: $95,000–105,000/year + 5% target bonus
Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays

Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing

- ERP system and Microsoft Office experience
Job Summary:
Seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee 3rd shift sanitation operations within a food manufacturing facility. This role will partner closely with another Supervisor and report directly to the Sanitation Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong union leadership experience, a stable work history, and the ability to lead a large sanitation team while ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and direct nightly sanitation operations for a large hourly union workforce
- Enforce safety, GMP, HACCP, allergen, SQF, and housekeeping standards
- Train, coach, and develop sanitation team members while maintaining accountability
- Ensure proper use of sanitation chemicals, tools, and cleaning procedures
- Maintain sanitation documentation and verify completion of sanitation tasks
- Communicate sanitation issues and corrective actions to leadership teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and sanitation program effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and plant leadership teams
- Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven work environment
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sanitation supervisory experience in food manufacturing required
- Previous experience managing union employees required
- Experience leading large teams (40+ employees preferred)
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Must be flexible to support additional hours, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed
- College degree in a related field preferred
