*Summary*:The Sanitation/Buildings & Grounds Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the pant and buildings and grounds and ensures that equipment and buildings are maintained, cleaned and in good repair.Sunday through Thursday 10 p.m. - 6 a.m., occasional OT.*Responsibilities include:*Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.- Responsible for observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as top Company priority and conduct/participate regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.- Maintain efficient and timely flow of keeping the facility in a clean working condition as per company standards and policies.- Capable of assisting in all aspects of maintenance, preventative maintenance, manages breakdowns and repairs.- Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.- Responsible for achieving individual and department targets, goals and objectives.- Responsible for overseeing job performance of all employees associated with the maintenance of equipment and buildings/grounds that are used to process raw and finished materials as it relates to sanitation.- Assist in conducting investigation of accidents that occur within jurisdiction and makes recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.- All other duties as assigned by management.*Minimum Qualifications*- High School Diploma / GED.- Minimum 1-3 years of prior supervisory experience is required, preferably in an industrial or agricultural setting.*Preferred Qualifications*- Technical school certificate or Associates Degree.- Labor relations background and leadership experience.- Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.*Physical Demands*- Occasionally lift-up to 100lbs.- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.*Work Environment*Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility as well as the surrounding grounds of the facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/or cold temperatures. *Darling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to r ace, age, color, r eligion, s ex, national origin, s exual orientation, gender identity, disability, or, protected veteran status.
