Job Skills & Requirements We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools, and facility areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. This role is critical to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the production of high-quality products.

Job Schedule

  • Saturday - Tuesday
  • 4 days/week
  • 10 hours/shift
  • 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: Paid weekly every Friday ($19/hr)

Job Duties

  • Supervise and oversee cleaning staff and conduct audits to ensure all areas are kept up to cleanliness standards.
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment (mixers, conveyors, molds, packaging machines, etc.) according to daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules.
  • Disassemble and reassemble food processing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and proper functioning.
  • Use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other surfaces in production and packaging areas.
  • Handle and dispose of waste materials and recyclables properly.
  • Safe handling and proper disposal of sanitation chemicals.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including checklists and cleaning logs.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to support a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety protocols.
  • Work from heights (aerial lifts). All training/certification will be provided.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in supervising required.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food manufacturing or sanitation experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Familiarity with basic sanitation and food safety practices; HACCP knowledge is a plus.
  • Physically capable of standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and working in wet or humid environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions.
  • Must be able to work around sweet aromas and food ingredients (e.g., gelatin, corn syrup, food coloring).
  • Hot and cold environments.
  • May require weekend, holiday, or night shifts depending on production schedule.
