Hiring Sanitation Technician (Cold Environment)

Pay: $17.16/hr.

Hours: 3rd Shift/ Flexible, Including Weekends. 

Position Summary: The Sanitation Technician is a vital member of our cleaning crew, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of processing equipment and areas within the plant. This role is essential for maintaining Quality Control and Bacterial Standards for Food Safety and Quality Management. The Sanitation Technician must work collaboratively with other team members to achieve these standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all processing equipment and the facility are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to company standards.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company safety policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and according to proper procedures
• Be available to work 8+ hours per shift, including weekends, as required by the production schedule
• Work as a member of the cleaning crew, collaborating with other team members to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards for Food Safety and Quality Management.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in both languages
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, is required.

External Basic Qualifications:

Sanitation Technician Experience Required

•Willing to work a flexible shift.

•Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.

•Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.

•Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

•Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP preferred)

•Ability to work in cold, wet, or fast-paced environments

•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

•High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.

•Previous sanitation experience in a food production or manufacturing environment

•Experience with industrial sanitation equipment (pressure washers, foamers, etc.)

•Familiarity with audit standards (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.)
