Job Description:

Seeking a Sanitation Technician to join a Food Company in the South New Jersey area.

This is a contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in the Plant to perform proper sanitation and cleaning practices in accordance with SSOP as well as sanitation policies and procedures
  • Daily cleaning of front office, breakrooms and restrooms.
  • Perform daily inspections and evaluations of cleaning conducted by Production and Warehouse teams.
  • Perform daily pre-production inspection of production area if necessary.
  • Work with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Production, Load-Out and Plant Manager to resolve any issues that may affect the sanitation process
  • Ensure all activities on master sanitation schedule are fulfilled and properly recorded on time
  • Implement sanitation procedures for new equipment as needed.
  • Ensures all rooms are properly stocked with sanitation supplies for all shifts.
  • Maintains chemical control for sanitation chemicals throughout facility.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to provide guidance for all plant personnel to ensure that personnel Safety and Food Safety policies/procedures, GMPs and plant rules are followed and adhered to.
  • Work with Quality Assurance, Plant Manager and Production Coordinator/Manager when production startups, shutdowns, changeovers are necessary to meet sanitation needs
  • Maintenance of cleaning utensils.
  • Monitors waste levels and informs Quality Assurance of when pickups of waste are needed.
  • Keeps sanitation supply and chemical inventory and reports to Quality Assurance when items are required for purchase.
  • Conducts sanitation training to any employee when required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Assurance and Plant Manager

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma / GED
  • Must have previous sanitation experience (preferably in a food production environment).
