Sanitation Technician

Position: Sanitation Technician
Pay Rate: $18.00/hourly
Location: Lodi, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
(Must be available to work 7 days per week during harvest season.)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Sanitation Technician to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the facility. This position is responsible for deep cleaning production areas and equipment, safely handling sanitation chemicals, and ensuring all cleaning activities comply with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of production and facility areas.
• Clean and sanitize exterior tanks, utensils, and other production equipment using specialized cleaning tools.
• Operate high-pressure water hoses and other sanitation equipment safely and effectively.
• Clean floors, walls, ceilings, drains, vents, and other designated areas throughout the facility.
• Prepare, manage, and apply chemical cleaning and sanitizing solutions according to established procedures.
• Properly store and handle sanitation chemicals in accordance with safety requirements.
• Transport waste and debris to designated disposal areas.
• Maintain accurate sanitation records and complete required documentation.
• Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and established cleaning schedules.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable food safety requirements.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when required before cleaning or servicing equipment.
• Identify and report sanitation, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work efficiently to meet sanitation deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Perform additional sanitation duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, food production, manufacturing, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, GMP, and sanitation procedures is a plus.
• Ability to safely handle and work with industrial cleaning chemicals.
• Comfortable operating high-pressure hoses and sanitation equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable with the ability to maintain a fast-paced workflow.
• Must be flexible and available to work 7 days per week during harvest season.
