Overview
The Sanitation Technologist role involves autonomously setting up, completing sanitation and running equipment for trials. He or she exhibits strong customer service for various platforms. In this role, you will be providing support to various platforms with a focus on the Cereal platform.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments
• Lead projects to identify and resolve safety risks, demonstrating human and food safety leadership
• Maintain proficiency across multiple unit operations and systems, including mastery on some systems
• Execute system setup, sanitation, and maintenance activities with technical focus
• Inspect sanitation processes and lead complex system sanitation activities
• Lead equipment sanitation efforts and oversee sanitation inspections
• Support electrical and controls maintenance activities with a technical focus

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sanitation experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift and manipulate ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs. repeatedly
• Comfortable working in processing (pilot plant or plant) environments
• Confidence in autonomously operating equipment
• Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other programs)
• Strong understanding of food safety and human safety practices
• Experience working in team environments to deliver results
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach, train, and develop others
• Technical expertise with a focus on business impact
• Effective communication skills with peers and customers
• Adaptability to dynamic work environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in similar fields, foodservice, or laboratory settings
• Passion for food creation, CPG industry, and consumer trends (food and packaging)
