Sanitation Worker Needed Now — Urgently Hiring in Eugene!

Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6AM - 4:30PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Sanitation Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily sanitation operations. You'll work closely with production teams to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and production areas, making a difference every day.

What You'll Do
As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating with Production staff to stay informed of upcoming cleaning needs.
  • Preparing daily bleach baths for sanitation and verifying chemical concentrations meet safety standards.
  • Cleaning production vessels, utensils, and other food-contact equipment efficiently and in accordance with sanitation protocols.
  • Handling large equipment and vessels, which may involve lifting barrels, standing on ladders, and leaning over tanks to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Moving large production equipment to and from cleaning areas using carts or wheels with team assistance.
  • Following detailed cleaning procedures outlined in SOPs to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Keeping the dish and laundry areas clean by sweeping, mopping, wiping down walls, washers, and dryers regularly.
  • Weekly cleaning of floor mats, drains, and off-strip curtains over dry dish storage.
  • Quarterly cleaning of dish racks and monthly sanitation of dish area and equipment.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Completed sanitation and SOP training, preferably supervised by management.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing, restaurants, or cleaning roles is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of QA/QC procedures, GMP practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment operations is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness.
