SAP ABAP Consultant (Center Staffing)

Location: Houston, TX – Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to support SAP development, enhancement, integration, and technical support activities in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ABAP development, SAP technical objects, interfaces, debugging, and enterprise SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP solutions based on business and technical requirements.

• Develop and enhance SAP technical objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Perform ABAP development, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.

• Develop and maintain SAP interfaces using technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, web services, and APIs.

• Work closely with functional consultants and business teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.

• Support SAP enhancements, production issues, incident resolution, and service requests.

• Perform technical analysis and root-cause troubleshooting for SAP issues.

• Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and migration activities.

• Follow SAP development standards, coding best practices, and documentation requirements.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality and maintainability of ABAP developments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to deliver SAP solutions on schedule.

• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer as required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development.

• Experience developing RICEFW objects.

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP.

• Experience with ABAP reports and performance optimization.

• Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and web services.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with SAP enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement frameworks.

• Experience working with SAP integration and technical interfaces.

• Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and develop effective solutions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

• Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData Services.

• Experience with SAP Fiori integrations.

• Experience with SAP forms such as Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.

• Experience with SAP migration, upgrade, and implementation projects.

• Experience supporting large enterprise SAP environments.
