PGS Worldwide is seeking a SAP ABAP Developer for a remote contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The SAP ABAP Developer will support ERP operations by developing new SAP functionality, enhancements, and production support solutions. This role requires ABAP development experience, SAP ECC experience, and expertise in MRP and Production Planning, with the ability to analyze business requirements, write specifications, support testing, and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Skills
- SAP ABAP development experience.
- SAP ECC experience in one or more areas such as SD, WM, IM, MRP, or PP.
- Expertise in MRP and Production Planning.
- Experience understanding business requirements and business issues.
- Experience analyzing existing SAP environments.
- Experience writing technical or functional specifications.
- Experience supporting testing activity.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues.
- Ability to support SAP enhancements, new development, and production support.
- U.S. person or U.S. citizenship verification required.
- Ability to access ECI information.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting ERP Operations IT portfolios.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC manufacturing, materials, inventory, warehouse, production planning, or sales/distribution processes.
- Experience working with business users, developers, testers, and production support teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop SAP solutions using ABAP.
- Support new development, enhancements, and production support.
- Analyze business requirements and system issues.
- Review and understand existing SAP ECC environments.
- Write specifications for SAP changes and enhancements.
- Support testing and validation of SAP solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide resolution support.
- Support ERP operations across SAP ECC functional areas such as MRP, PP, SD, WM, or IM.
