CTG is seeking to fill a SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA position for our client.
Location: Annapolis, MD
Duration: 5 Months
Duties:
Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
Develop and enhance ABAP for HANA objects including RAP, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and advanced Open SQL.
Support S/4HANA migration activities, including custom code remediation and optimization using the Custom Development Migration Worklist.
Develop and maintain SAP integrations using RFC, BAPI, Proxy Programming, AIF, and related technologies.
Optimize application performance using HANA code pushdown techniques and SQL optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with functional teams supporting SAP SD and PS modules to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
Participate in architecture discussions, documentation, unit testing, and code reviews while providing technical leadership and guidance.
Skills:
Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in SAP S/4HANA.
Expertise in ABAP for HANA including RAP, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and advanced Open SQL.
Experience with SAP integration technologies including RFC, BAPI, Proxy Programming, and AIF.
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA architecture, HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), HANA Administration Console, and HANA Modeling tools.
Experience implementing HANA code pushdown techniques using AMDP, Native SQL, SQL Script, and performance optimization strategies.
Understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, Fiori configuration, and Suite on HANA migrations.
Functional knowledge of SAP SD and PS modules.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and unit testing skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance while providing technical leadership.
Experience:
8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with significant experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
Experience leading or supporting S/4HANA implementation and migration projects.
Proven experience with HANA code remediation, application architecture, and performance tuning.
Experience serving as a technical advisor or lead on enterprise SAP initiatives is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00 to $65.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
