Pay Range: $60-$65/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong technical expertise in ABAP development and hands-on functional knowledge of Plan to Produce (P2P) / SAP Production Planning (PP) processes. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and enhancing SAP solutions across ECC and S/4HANA environments and a strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable ABAP solutions while working closely with PP/QM functional teams and business stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

ABAP Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in ABAP, RICEF, and OO ABAP.
• Experience developing ALV reports, classical reports, interactive reports, and Module Pool programs.
• Strong experience with BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots, and other enhancement frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and SAP interfaces/APIs.
• Experience developing SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Strong understanding of SAP development standards and best practices.

S/4HANA ABAP

• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of CDS Views and modern Open SQL.
• Experience with ABAP code adaptation and remediation for S/4HANA.
• Understanding of performance optimization and S/4HANA development practices.

Plan to Produce / SAP PP

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Plan to Produce / SAP PP processes.
• Understanding of MRP, BOM, Routing, and Production Orders.
• Experience with Shop Floor Execution and Manufacturing Execution.
• Knowledge of production confirmations and manufacturing-related inventory movements.

Key Responsibilities

ABAP Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Develop classical, interactive, and ALV reports using procedural and OO ABAP.
• Develop Module Pool programs and custom transactions based on business requirements.
• Create scalable and reusable technical solutions following SAP development standards.

Enhancements & Integration

• Implement BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
• Develop and maintain SAP integrations using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and APIs.
• Design and develop output forms using SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve interface and integration issues.

Plan to Produce / SAP PP

• Work closely with SAP PP/QM functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Support manufacturing processes including:
  • MRP / Material Requirements Planning
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Routing
  • Production Orders
  • Production Confirmations
  • Shop Floor Execution
  • Goods Issue (GI) / Goods Receipt (GR) for Production
• Support integration between PP and other SAP modules, particularly QM and Inventory Management.

S/4HANA & Modern ABAP

• Develop and enhance S/4HANA-compatible ABAP solutions.
• Create and maintain CDS Views and optimize Open SQL queries.
• Perform ABAP code remediation and adaptation for S/4HANA migrations.
• Apply Clean Core principles and modern SAP development practices.
• Exposure to RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) is a plus.

Testing & Production Support

• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.
• Analyze and resolve defects and production issues.
• Provide technical support during critical manufacturing and business cycles.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and development documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP coding standards.
• Follow development governance, quality standards, and Clean Core principles.

Good-to-Have Skills

• SAP QM integration with PP.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori / UI5.
• Experience with SAP BTP, RAP, and APIs.
• Experience in Greenfield and/or Brownfield S/4HANA implementations.
• Knowledge of modern SAP extensibility and integration approaches.
