SAP APO/DRP Consultant

Location: Cincinnati, OH – Hybrid
Travel: Travel to Cincinnati and occasional travel to Houston

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP APO/DRP Consultant responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP) processes within SAP APO. The consultant will focus on inventory deployment, replenishment planning, distribution network management, and supply planning across plants, distribution centers, and customer-facing locations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, and IT teams to optimize product availability while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities

APO DRP Solution Design & Configuration

• Configure and support SAP APO Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) processes.

• Design supply network models and multi-echelon distribution structures.

• Configure planning books, data views, and DRP planning parameters.

• Define sourcing rules, transportation lanes, and procurement relationships.

• Support deployment and replenishment planning activities.

Supply Network Planning (SNP)

• Configure and maintain:

  • Transportation Lanes

  • Product Master

  • Location Master

  • Procurement Types

  • Quota Arrangements

  • Deployment Heuristics

  • SNP Heuristics

  • Stock Transfer Planning

• Manage network-based replenishment planning across plants and distribution centers.

Inventory & Replenishment Planning

• Optimize inventory levels across the distribution network.

• Define safety stock and replenishment strategies.

• Monitor inventory availability and stock balancing.

• Support demand propagation and inventory allocation processes.

• Analyze shortages, excess inventory, and supply bottlenecks.

Integration Management

• Collaborate with teams supporting:

  • SAP APO DP (Demand Planning)

  • SAP APO SNP

  • SAP PP/DS

  • SAP ECC/S/4HANA

  • SAP MM

  • SAP SD

  • SAP EWM/WM

• Ensure seamless CIF integration between SAP APO and ERP systems.

• Resolve master data and transactional data integration issues.

Planning & Optimization

• Support:

  • DRP Heuristic Runs

  • Deployment Planning

  • Replenishment Planning

  • Stock Transfer Requirement Generation

  • Exception-Based Planning

• Analyze planning results and recommend improvements to supply and inventory strategies.

Testing & Project Delivery

• Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications.

• Support GAP analysis and solution design workshops.

• Execute SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing.

• Support implementation, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and support reports related to:

  • Inventory Levels

  • Fill Rate

  • Service Level

  • Stock Coverage

  • Inventory Turns

  • DRP Exceptions

  • Deployment Performance

• Support APO planning dashboards and KPI reporting.
