Job Title: SAP Ariba Test Lead
Allendale, NJ (REMOTE)

Role Overview

The SAP Ariba Test Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing end to end testing for SAP Ariba modules—primarily Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I), Ariba Network, and integrations with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

The role ensures quality delivery by driving test strategy, test planning, test execution, and defect management across multiple procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

• Define overall test strategy, scope, test approach, and timelines for SAP Ariba projects.

• Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts for Ariba B&I and Ariba Network.

• Identify test data requirements and prepare or coordinate test data setup.

• Estimate testing efforts and allocate tasks to team members.

Test Execution & Coordination

• Lead Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Execute tests for:

o Requisitioning & catalog management

o Approval workflows

o Purchase Orders (PO) & change orders

o Goods receipts, service entry sheets

o Invoices, credit memos, and exceptions

o Ariba Network integrations (PO flow, Order Confirmation, ASN, Invoice flow)

• Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.

• Validate Ariba-to-ERP integration including IDocs/CIG flows.

Defect Management

• Log, track, prioritize, and drive closure of defects.

• Facilitate defect triage meetings with cross-functional teams.

• Ensure timely resolution of testing issues and maintain defect quality standards.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare test summary reports and quality dashboards.

• Maintain clear documentation for scenarios, scripts, test evidence, and traceability matrix.

• Provide regular status updates to project managers and stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with SAP Ariba functional teams to understand business processes.

• Collaborate with integration teams (CIG/Cloud Integration Gateway).

• Support cutover, hypercare, and post-go live testing cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on testing experience with SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I) and Ariba Network.

• Strong understanding of procurement processes:

o Requisitions, catalogs, approvals

o PO lifecycle and confirmations

o Goods receipts / SES

o Invoicing and exception handling

• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA procurement modules (MM, FI integration preferred).

• Strong knowledge of Ariba integration flows (ERP ↔ CIG ↔ Ariba Network).

• Experience using tools such as Client ALM, JIRA, ServiceNow, qTest, etc.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to lead and mentor test teams.

• Knowledge of Ariba Sourcing or Contracts.

• Exposure to automation testing tools.

• Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks.

• Experience in multi country or global SAP rollouts.
