Summary

Our client is seeking an SAP Basis Administrator to support the stability, security, performance, and day-to-day operation of enterprise SAP systems. This role will provide hands-on administration across SAP S/4HANA, HANA, Fiori, BTP, and related infrastructure. The SAP Basis Administrator will work closely with functional, development, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to keep critical SAP systems reliable and secure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, BTP, and related SAP technologies.
• Perform SAP installations, upgrades, support packages, kernel updates, system copies, refreshes, and other platform maintenance.
• Monitor system availability, capacity, and performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for system and performance problems.
• Support SAP transports, technical deployments, maintenance Windows, releases, cutovers, and go-live activities.
• Maintain SAP Fiori, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, and other platform components.
• Apply SAP security notes, patches, vulnerability fixes, and secure platform configurations.
• Support backup, recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Support SAP systems in Cloud and hybrid environments including SAP RISE, Azure, and AWS.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams, hosting providers, SAP support, cybersecurity, and other technical teams.
• Respond to incidents and service requests and participate in an on-call support rotation as needed.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system recovery plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or other large-scale SAP environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SAP upgrades, support packages, system copies, refreshes, and technical migrations.
• Knowledge of SAP monitoring, performance-tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SAP security, vulnerability management, audit, and compliance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, or SAP Web Dispatcher.
• Experience supporting SAP RISE, Azure, AWS, or hybrid Cloud environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
• PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, SQL, or other automation experience.
• SAP, Azure, AWS, Linux, security, or ITIL certifications.

This is a 6+ month Contract opportunity with our Omaha, NE client.
