Role Overview

The SAP BASIS & Security Consultant is responsible for managing the technical administration, performance, availability, security, and compliance of SAP landscapes. The role combines SAP BASIS administration with SAP Security governance, ensuring stable system operations, secure user access, regulatory compliance, and support for SAP transformations including S/4HANA, SAP RISE, and cloud environments.

Monitor SAP system performance, availability, capacity, and health, ensuring optimal operation.

Implement and maintain backup, recovery, HA/DR, and business continuity solutions.

Design, maintain, and support SAP security roles, authorizations, and user access management.

Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, role assignments, and access reviews.

Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, risk assessments, and remediation activities.

Configure and support SAP GRC Access Control and identity management solutions.

Implement and support SSO, SAP Fiori security, HANA security, and cloud security controls.

Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, audit, and corporate security policies.

Investigate and resolve BASIS, security, authorization, and system access issues.

Coordinate with application, infrastructure, cloud, database, and cybersecurity teams.

Develop technical documentation, security standards, processes, and operational procedures.

Support audits, compliance reviews, and security governance initiatives.
