Role Overview

• Administer, monitor, optimize, and support enterprise SAP landscapes.
• Provide technical support across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, SAP HANA, and related middleware.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security coordination, transport governance, and operational stability.
• Support upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, incident resolution, and business-critical SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SAP landscapes including:
  • SAP ECC
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP BW
  • SAP CRM

  • SAP Gateway
  • Fiori Front-End Server
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP HANA
• Perform daily system health checks, background job monitoring, spool administration, interface monitoring, and log analysis.
• Proactively identify and resolve system performance and availability issues.
• Manage SAP transports using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Schedule, sequence, troubleshoot, and document transport imports.
• Support SAP kernel upgrades, support package stack upgrades, enhancement package upgrades, and add-on installations.
• Perform SPAM/SAINT activities and support SUM/DMO-based maintenance.
• Provide SAP HANA database administration support, including:
  • Start/stop activities
  • Backup monitoring
  • Tenant/system database checks
  • License checks
  • Performance tuning
  • Troubleshooting
• Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and homogeneous/heterogeneous migrations.
• Perform post-refresh activities and environment stabilization.
• Monitor and tune system performance using:
  • ST02
  • ST03N
  • ST04
  • SM50
  • SM51
  • SM66
  • DBACOCKPIT
  • EarlyWatch Alert
• Coordinate with SAP Security teams for:
  • User administration
  • Authorization issue analysis
  • Role troubleshooting
  • SOD-aligned access support
  • Audit activities
• Raise and track SAP incidents through SAP ONE Support Launchpad.
• Apply SAP Notes and coordinate OSS connections with SAP Support.
• Support critical P1/P2 incidents, root cause analysis, service restoration, stakeholder communication, and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with functional, ABAP, infrastructure, database, network, cloud, and application teams.
• Create and maintain:
  • Technical documentation
  • Operational runbooks
  • Change records
  • SOPs
  • System inventory
  • Refresh plans
  • Knowledge transition materials

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration for SAP NetWeaver and S/4HANA landscapes.
• Strong SAP HANA administration experience.
• Experience with HANA Studio / HANA Cockpit.
• Experience with backup/restore monitoring and tenant database management.
• Strong performance troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with:
  • SAP upgrades
  • Support package application

  • DMO
  • System copies
  • System refreshes
• Hands-on experience with SAP transport management.
• Strong knowledge of background jobs, printer/spool management, RFC destinations, SAP profiles, operation modes, and system parameters.

  • Jira
  • Azure DevOps
  • Equivalent ITSM tools
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAP Gateway.
• Knowledge of Web Dispatcher, SSL certificates, SSO/SAML basics, and SAProuter.
• Experience troubleshooting interface connectivity.

• SAP certifications in BASIS, HANA, S/4HANA System Administration, or cloud infrastructure are preferred.
