SAP Basis Lead

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Strong experience in SAP BASIS administration.

Expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP HANA, and NetWeaver.

Experience with OS administration (Linux, Unix, Windows).

Knowledge of cloud platforms.

SAP system refreshes, client copies, and transport management.

Performance tuning and system monitoring tools.

Understanding of security concepts, SAP authorizations, and audit compliance.

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead and manage BASIS support teams.

Resource planning and workload management.

Stakeholder and vendor management.

Service delivery governance and SLA management.

Technical roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP HANA certifications preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead SAP BASIS support and operational activities across SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, etc.).

Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and migrations.

Ensure high system availability, performance optimization, and capacity planning.

Monitor SAP landscapes and proactively resolve technical issues.

Lead SAP HANA database administration activities, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

Coordinate with infrastructure, security, network, and application teams.

Manage transport landscape and change management processes.

Drive disaster recovery (DR), business continuity, and high-availability initiatives.

Ensure compliance with security policies, audits, and SAP best practices.

Manage incident, problem, and service request resolution within SLA commitments.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for critical production issues.

Mentor BASIS team members and provide technical guidance.

Prepare operational reports, KPI dashboards, and executive updates.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
