Description

Role: SAP BASIS Specialist
Location:Sacramento, CA (100% Remote)
Duration: 6+ months

Overview: Seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Specialist to provide advanced administration, architecture, and operational support for a complex enterprise SAP landscape. The role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, security, and availability of SAP environments through installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and ongoing system optimization.

Must Have: SAP BASIS Administration, SAP S/4HANA & ECC, SAP BTP/CPI & Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, AIX/Linux/Windows & DB2/MS SQL Administration, SAP Fiori/Web Dispatcher/SuccessFactors

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support enterprise SAP environments.
Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patching, system refreshes, migrations, backups, and restorations.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and resolve production incidents.
Provide 24/7 on-call support as required.
Perform OS, database, and SAP application maintenance.
Conduct system sizing, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Configure and maintain batch jobs, automation scripts, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
Serve as the technical liaison with software vendors for patches and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of SAP BASIS administration experience.
Strong expertise with:
- SAP ECC
- S/4HANA
- BW/BI
- CRM
- BusinessObjects (BOBJ)
- Process Orchestration (PO)
- Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC)
- SAP HANA
- C/4HANA
- SAP BTP / CPI
- SuccessFactors
- SAP Cloud Connector
- SAP Fiori / Gateway
- Web Dispatcher
Experience administering SAP on:
- AIX
- UNIX
- Linux
- Windows
- DB2
- Microsoft SQL Server
Hands-on experience with:
- SAP Solution Manager
- SAP Cloud ALM
- System installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years supporting SAP ABAP and Java systems.
Expertise with SAP Solution Manager monitoring and project documentation.
Experience with:
- SAP system refresh tools (LAMA, SAP PCA)
- NetWeaver Java Administration
- Adobe Document Services
- SLD
- CTS+ Change Management
- DB2/AIX and RHEL environments.
