Description:

• BI Consultant / BI Sr. Developer specializing in SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) for artifacts based on BWHANA and BW/4HANA, leveraging Webis, Universes, etc., and understanding of underlying BEx queries or HANA-based queries.
• Leverage expertise to guide and support the team through complex data modeling and development tasks in BOBJ.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support for Custom Business Warehouse (BW) on HANA and BW/4HANA transitioning and its impact into BOBJ artifacts (Webis, reports, Universes, etc.).
• SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), SAP BW and BW/4 along with SAP S/4HANA Harmonized Data Model (HDM) solutions. This includes design, development, maintenance, and optimization of reporting, dashboards, and data integration for front-end reporting through BOBJ platform.
• Provide level of effort estimates for proposed tasks, incidents, and enhancements to enable effective project planning and budgeting.
• Prepare technical designs detailing architecture, components, interfaces, and other design aspects to guide development and implementation.
• Provide change impact and system designs impact assessment to validate upgrade design in BW and BW/4 related to S/4HANA implementation.
• Carry out unit test and feasibility test before full development. Provide analysis of alternative documents evaluating different solutions and approaches, outlining pros, cons, and recommendations geared towards the remediation of reports or queries being transitioned or migrated as part of S/4.
• Testing designing and support, both from Unit Test, Integration Testing and UAT (user acceptance testing).
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to technical employees, including documentation, job aids and working sessions.
• Must have strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with Senior leadership.

Required Skills:

• SAP BW on HANA Data Model (BEx queries and HANA-based queries) - Expert
• Structured Query Language (SQL): Expert (P4)
• SAP BW understanding (proficiency preferred) of BW back-end development: Expert (P4)
• 7+ years SAP BW/4HANA Back-End development experience (P4)
• Expertise in BOBJ folder maintenance and proficient understanding of BOBJ transports (CTS/CTS+) and changes throughout the landscape

Desired Skills:

• Native-HANA modeling and S/4 data model awareness
