SAP BTP Technical Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BTP Staff Software Engineer with strong expertise in SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, integration solution architecture, and hands-on integration development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

This role requires a strong combination of SAP technical architecture, integration development, S/4HANA extensibility, Clean Core principles, and software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable integration solutions using SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
• Develop and maintain integrations between SAP S/4HANA and SAP/non-SAP applications.
• Provide integration solution architecture and technical leadership for large-scale SAP transformation programs.
• Develop integrations using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), APIs, REST, web services, and other integration technologies.
• Work with SAP Cloud Connector and SAP API Management.
• Design and implement S/4HANA extensions following SAP Clean Core principles.
• Develop in-app extensions using Key User Extensibility and the RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) model.
• Develop side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP using the CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model.
• Leverage released SAP APIs and extension points to develop custom solutions.
• Design appropriate API wrappers when released APIs are not available.
• Develop and deploy applications using SAP Business Application Studio (Client).
• Work with SAP Build and SAP Work Zone for cloud application development and deployment.
• Develop and support SAP Fiori applications.
• Participate in SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation programs, including greenfield, brownfield, bluefield, and S/4HANA conversion projects.
• Define and implement integration migration strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern version-control practices.
• Troubleshoot complex integration and application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, architects, developers, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement and technology optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Extensive experience in SAP integration solution architecture and integration development.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
• Experience with SAP Cloud Connector.
• Experience with SAP API Management.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA extensibility and Clean Core principles.
• Hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
• Hands-on experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP applications.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and version control.
• Experience working on large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and provide technical leadership.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• SAP certifications in relevant BTP, S/4HANA, or integration technologies.
• Experience with SAP Fiori development.
• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio (Client).
• Experience with SAP Build and SAP Work Zone.
• Experience with SAP HANA database administration/development.
• Experience with SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud).
• Experience with SAP Fieldglass.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
