SAP CAP Developer (Remote)
 
We are hiring SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming) developers for a remote, 1-year contract for our client. 

Please note: No corp to corp, Subcontracting or visa sponsorship is available for this role. 

The person hired for this role will be responsible for the development of business applications within the SAP environment using a variety of ABAP tools and programming skills.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains a variety of advanced business applications using various objects.
  • Develops solutions that enhance the end user experience and meets business requirements.
  • Develops and maintains a variety of ABAP business applications such as standard ABAP reports, user exits, BAPIs, BAdIs, BDCs, interactive reports, screen maintenance and ALV reports; with high complexity, in multiple modules across Finance and HR.
  • Develops and maintains various NetWeaver Portal objects such as portal configuration, web services, mobile applications, visual and web composer. Maintains and configures enterprise and federated portals, as well as connections between all SAP systems.
  • Applies detailed understanding of all major business processes and their end-to-end relationships to develop business applications in support of the college s mission. Communicates requirements and delegates to other team members as required.
  • Creates and executes test scripts to ensure that reports provide accurate results and meets the requirements of the customer.
  • Produces professional technical specifications, status updates and other internal/external communications. Documents innovations and standards in the form of white papers or contributions to internal/external newsletters or blogs.
  • Understands business user needs, gathers and documents requirements. Follows functional specification documents to ensure work products meet the needs of the requester. Analyzes complex requirements and recommends and implements innovative solutions.
  • Proactively develops new business applications to improve upon the initial business requirement. Anticipates business needs and work with Business Analysts and end users to implement improvements.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues, debug, tune and optimizes development object performance. Works closely with Basis and Portal team members to optimize system performance and monitor system usage.
  • Provides end user support, fields support desk questions and provides resolutions, assists end users with application navigation or data questions.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to junior members of the development team. Develops training plans and goals. Ensures other members of the development team follow naming and coding standards.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience
  • Experience with Human Capital Management and SuccessFactors is a must. 
  • A highly skilled SAP CAP and Node.js developer with strong expertise in building scalable, event driven applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry), leveraging tools such as CDS, REST/OData V4 services, and multi-layer CAP architecture. 
  • Demonstrates deep backend proficiency in asynchronous programming, microservices, API orchestration, and performance optimization, along with solid database capabilities using PostgreSQL and advanced SQL/CDS modeling
  • Experienced in integrating SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding) using secure authentication methods like OAuth2 and implementing robust data sync patterns. Well versed in API design, transformations (JSON/XML). 
  • Brings hands-on DevOps experience with Git and BTP deployments, along with strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Proficiency in ABAP Programming language is highly desirable

Pay $60 - $70 / hour W2 Depending on Experience
