SAP Concur Technical Consultant

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking SAP Concur Technical Consultant with a passion for growth and business transformation. The Technical Consultant will lead the technical architecture, integration design, data migration, and interface development activities for implementation of a new automated, web-based Travel Management System (TMS) built on SAP Concur for a federal client.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> <\/span><\/span> <\/p> The SAP Concur Technical Consultant will ensure the new TMS is securely integrated with the client's enterprise systems, enabling automated travel booking, approval routing, reimbursement processing, and audit compliance. This role is critical to delivering a technically sound, secure, and scalable solution that supports the client's operational and regulatory requirements.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span> <\/h3> <\/span> <\/p>Technical Architecture & Integration Design<\/span><\/b> <\/p>Define and document the end-to-end technical architecture for SAP Concur implementation.<\/span> <\/li>Design and oversee system integrations between SAP Concur and:<\/span> <\/li>Monitoring systems<\/span> <\/li>Reimbursement and financial systems<\/span> <\/li>Travel claim audit services<\/span> <\/li>Customer service support platforms<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Coordinate GDS connectivity and ensure seamless reservation data exchange.<\/span> <\/li>Develop interface control documents (ICDs) and data flow diagrams.<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Interface Development & Data Management<\/span><\/b> <\/p>Lead configuration and testing of inbound/outbound interfaces, including employee data, funding structures, cost centers, and reimbursement transactions.<\/span> <\/li>Perform field mapping, transformation logic validation, and data reconciliation.<\/span> <\/li>Support data migration activities, including user profiles, approval hierarchies, and historical travel data as required.<\/span> <\/li>Ensure secure authentication, role-based access controls, and compliance with IT security standards.<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Testing & Technical Validation<\/span><\/b> <\/p>Develop and execute technical test plans for System Integration Testing (SIT).<\/span> <\/li>Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by resolving interface defects and validating data accuracy.<\/span> <\/li>Monitor system performance and troubleshoot integration or data transmission issues.<\/span> <\/li>Coordinate regression testing during configuration updates and system releases.<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Compliance, Controls & Security<\/span><\/b> <\/p>Ensure technical configurations align with Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) requirements and internal policies.<\/span> <\/li>Implement audit logging, traceability controls, and reporting capabilities to support travel claim audit services.<\/span> <\/li>Validate secure data exchange protocols and encryption standards for financial and personally identifiable information (PII).<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>Deployment & Post-Go-Live Support<\/span><\/b> <\/p>Support cutover planning, production deployment, and environment migrations.<\/span> <\/li>Provide post-go-live technical stabilization and interface monitoring.<\/span> <\/li>Establish technical documentation and knowledge transfer for IT personnel.<\/span> <\/li><\/ul> <\/div><\/span> Requirements<\/h3> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum 5-7 years of technical implementation experience with SAP Concur Travel and Expense solutions.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise system integrations (APIs, flat file interfaces, middleware, or web services).<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience integrating SaaS solutions with financial, ERP, and monitoring systems.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation processes.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience supporting highly regulated federal or financial regulatory environments.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Understanding of secure authentication, access controls, and enterprise IT security standards.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> <\/span><\/span> <\/p> Preferred Competencies:<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience supporting federal financial oversight agencies or similar governance structures.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience with large-scale travel programs supporting 2,000+ users and complex approval hierarchies.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> · <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Familiarity with GDS integrations and enterprise financial system connectivity.<\/span><\/span> <\/p> <\/div><\/span>
