Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
SAP Finance Costing Functional Analyst
with strong hands on experience in
SAP ECC FI/CO , specializing in
costing and controlling . The role will support core finance and costing processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with business and IT teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
SAP ECC Costing
Controlling (Core Focus)
Configure, support, and enhance
SAP ECC Controlling (CO)
modules, including:
Cost Center Accounting (CO OM CCA)
Internal Orders (CO OM OPA)
Product Costing (CO PC: Material Costing, Cost Object Controlling)
Profitability Analysis (CO PA Costing based and/or Account based)
Manage
standard and actual costing , cost estimates, overhead calculations, and variance analysis
Ensure accurate
FI CO integration
and cost flow validation
Support
month end, quarter end, and year end close
activities related to costing and controlling
Business Process
Analysis
Partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to gather and document business requirements
Translate business needs into
functional designs and configuration solutions
Identify process gaps and recommend SAP ECC best practice improvements
Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal controls related to costing
Integration
Cross Functional Support
Support integration between
FI, CO, MM, PP, and SD
modules
Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams for reports, enhancements, interfaces, and data fixes
Provide production support, issue resolution, and root cause analysis
Testing, Training
Documentation
Prepare and execute
unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
Develop functional documentation, process flows, and configuration documents
Provide end user training and post deployment support
Optional / Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Exposure
Familiarity with
SAP S/4HANA Finance
concepts, including:
Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
Account Based CO PA
Simplified Product Costing and FI CO data model
Experience supporting or participating in
ECC to S/4HANA migration or readiness projects
Exposure to
SAP Fiori
financial apps is a plus
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of strong hands on experience in
SAP ECC FI/CO , with emphasis on
Costing and Controlling
Deep knowledge of:
Product Costing (Standard / Actual Costing)
Cost Center Accounting
FI CO integration and reconciliation
Experience supporting
financial close processes
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
SAP FI/CO certification
Manufacturing, high tech, or supply chain industry experience
Prior experience working in a
hybrid ECC
Soft Skills
Strong problem solving and analytical mindset
Ability to work independently and in cross functional teams
Detail oriented with a continuous improvement focus
