Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant to join a large-scale manufacturing environment supporting procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes for a global manufacturing client. The ideal candidate should possess strong SAP MM functional expertise with hands-on experience in manufacturing industry implementations and support projects.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, plant operations teams, procurement, warehouse, logistics, and SAP cross-functional teams to optimize material management and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and support SAP MM modules including:
Procurement
Purchasing
Inventory Management
Vendor Management
Material Master
Invoice Verification
Source Determination
Release Strategies
Batch Management
Work extensively with manufacturing and plant operations teams to support:
Raw material procurement
Production supply processes
Warehouse and inventory control
Plant-to-plant transfers
MRP-related procurement activities
Goods receipt/goods issue processes
Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
Configure and support:
Purchase Requisitions (PR)
Purchase Orders (PO)
RFQ processes
Scheduling Agreements
STOs (Stock Transport Orders)
Physical Inventory processes
Collaborate with SAP PP, WM/EWM, SD, FI/CO, and QM teams for end-to-end manufacturing process integration.
Support SAP integrations with third-party warehouse systems, EDI interfaces, and supplier systems.
Participate in:
Blueprinting
GAP analysis
System design
Functional testing
UAT
Production support
Cutover and go-live activities
Provide support for issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvements.
Develop functional specifications for RICEF objects and coordinate with technical teams.
Support enhancements, upgrades, and SAP S/4HANA migration initiatives.
 

Required Qualifications

8+ years of SAP MM functional consulting experience.
Strong experience in manufacturing industry environments.
Hands-on expertise in procurement and inventory management processes.
Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
Strong knowledge of integration with:
SAP PP
SAP WM/EWM
SAP SD
SAP FI/CO
SAP QM
Experience with:
MRP
Batch management
Warehouse operations
Vendor management
Material planning
Ability to handle onsite business user interactions and workshops.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Experience in full lifecycle implementations and production support.
 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in HVAC, automotive, heavy manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing domains.
SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
Knowledge of EWM or WM integration.
Experience with IDOCs, EDI, and interfaces.
SAP certification in MM is a plus.
