Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Analyst to support a Federal Government (Navy ERP) engagement under IBM Federal. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level business process guidance and SAP design for Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, focusing on automation, configuration, and optimization of financial operations within SAP. This role requires deep functional knowledge of financial management processes and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective implementation and support of Navy ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in SAP FI/CO configuration and design.
Analyze, design, and implement SAP business processes for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management.
Manage posting periods, period-end closing, and ensure integrated data flow between financial accounting and other SAP components.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to identify and implement system enhancements.
Support post go-live production, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Develop detailed system documentation, process flows, and configuration guides.
Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy ERP standards.
Provide leadership and technical oversight to large functional or technical teams.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and automation within the SAP financial landscape.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
Demonstrated experience in designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP FI/CO processes.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
(An additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
Prior Federal or DoD project experience required.
Strong understanding of SAP integration with logistics, procurement, and HR modules.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; proven ability to guide cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on FI/CO experience in Navy ERP or similar DoD financial environments.
Knowledge of DoD IT architectures and federal compliance standards.
Experience supporting post-implementation operations, break/fix, and enhancements.
Focus on customer service, responsiveness, and stakeholder collaboration.
