Overview
We’re supporting a Houston-based client seeking a senior SAP FICO Consultant to join their team on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role focused on production support and project-based work driven by business needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on SAP FICO experience, a solid understanding of accounting and compliance standards, and experience supporting manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide production support for SAP FICO users, including issue resolution and ongoing system support
• Support project-based initiatives aligned with evolving business needs
• Perform SAP FICO configuration and functional setup in SAP • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Write functional specifications and collaborate with developers on enhancements and system changes
• Ensure solutions align with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and US tax regulations
• Support and optimize SAP processes within an SAP S/4HANA environment
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO configuration and functional design
• Experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments (2023 preferred)
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, Local GAAP, and US tax laws
• Experience supporting or working within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work closely with business users and translate requirements into SAP solutions
• Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Experience
• Exposure to AWS-hosted SAP environments
• Prior experience in hybrid, user-facing support roles
