SAP Finance (FI) Architect

Our United States based client is seeking an experienced SAP Finance (FI) Architect to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in Finance, serving as an SAP Finance Solution Architect or as a Finance Workstream Lead on at least 2–3 full-cycle SAP transformation programs, with deep expertise across SAP financial operations, including Financial Planning & Budgeting, Cost Flow Redesign, Capital & Operating Expense Management, Investment Modeling, Profit Center Accounting, Treasury, Risk Management, and SAP FI/CO. A strong understanding of enterprise finance transformation and SAP best practices is required, along with proven experience leading solution design workshops and engaging with executive business stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of SAP Finance solutions across complex SAP transformation programs.
• Provide strategic guidance on finance operating models, business process redesign, and SAP best practices.
• Lead finance workstreams on large-scale SAP implementations, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
• Design and optimize end-to-end financial processes, including:
• Financial Planning & Budgeting Cost Flow Design and Optimization Capital vs. Operating Expense (CapEx/O&M)
• Management Investment
• Modeling Profit Center Accounting
• Treasury Management
• Enterprise Risk Management
• Provide architecture expertise across SAP Finance modules including:
• SAP FI
• SAP CO
• SAP Project Systems (PS)
• Fixed Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define future-state financial processes and governance.
• Mentor functional consultants and provide technical leadership across finance workstreams.
• Work closely with project leadership to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Produce high-quality solution documentation, design decisions, and architecture deliverables.
