Job Opening: SAP Finance Solution Architect
AdvanSix is seeking a seasoned SAP Finance Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Platforms team under the Digital Transformation & Technology (DTT) organization. This role serves as the primary product owner for the Finance function, responsible for the BUILD and RUN of SAP S4HANA and related finance applications. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, digital transformation, and business outcomes through robust SAP solutions. This role is critical in fostering a data-driven culture, enabling change management, and ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across the SAP Finance landscape.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for execution of DTT projects and support needs of the Finance business unit, working closely with DTT business partner for Finance.
- Represent DTT in extended functional teams, collaborating with Finance stakeholders, DTT business partners, and Super Users.
- Drive execution of prioritized digital transformation programs aligned with business goals.
- Foster a data-driven culture and support change management initiatives.
SAP Application Management
- Lead BUILD and RUN activities for SAP S4HANA Finance applications, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Manage incidents and problems across the SAP S4HANA landscape, ensuring clear communication, robust root cause analysis, and high-quality technical resolution, working with multiple vendors.
- Identify and implement application management actions to optimize performance, availability, and license usage.
- Advocate for leveraging standard best practices, maintaining a clean core.
- Monitor and maintain the SAP Finance landscape, ensuring effective batch job execution and system health.
Compliance & Systems Governance
- Oversee identity and access management across the SAP landscape, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with SAP project teams and AMS partners to optimize relationships and hold suppliers accountable.
- Manage application currency, including documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles for SAP Finance applications.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Plan and oversee upgrades for SAP S4HANA on RISE, ensuring clean core change management.
- Ensure training materials and knowledge articles are comprehensive, concise, and regularly updated.
- Invest time in planning, discovery, and reflection to drive better decisions and outcomes.
- Identify improvement opportunities, challenge the status quo, and drive appropriate change.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in SAP Finance modules, FICO, Asset Accounting, APAR, etc.
- Proven experience in SAP S4HANA implementation, support, and operations.
- Strong understanding of Finance business processes and SAP integration.
- Experience in incident/problem management and application lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree or relevant certifications, e.g., SAP S4HANA Finance, PMP.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar regulated industry.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC, and integration with non-SAP systems.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and enterprise architecture frameworks, e.g., TOGAF.
- Experience with compliance frameworks, including SOX and ITGC controls.

Compensation
The pay range for this role is between $130,700 and $196,100. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off, including vacation eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits, such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.
