Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced in-house SAP S/4HANA Functional Analyst to support, configure, and enhance SAP business processes across Manufacturing, Production Planning, and Quality Management. This role is responsible for translating operational requirements into SAP functional solutions, performing system configuration changes, supporting workflow and process enhancements, and ensuring stable day-to-day SAP operations across plant and manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong SAP functional expertise with manufacturing operations knowledge and the ability to work closely with Operations, supply chain, quality, R&D, and IT stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SAP Functional Configuration & Support

• Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA modules including:
• • Production Planning (PP)
  • Quality Management (QM)
  • Manufacturing Execution related processes
  • Inventory Management
• Perform functional configuration changes for:
• • Production orders
  • Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • MRP parameters
  • Inspection plans and quality notifications
  • Batch management and traceability
  • Production scheduling
• Analyze business requirements and design SAP solutions aligned with manufacturing and quality objectives.
• Support daily manufacturing operations, inventory transactions, and production issue resolution.

Manufacturing & Quality Process Improvement

• Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize business processes using SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across production, inventory accuracy, and quality compliance.
• Configure and maintain quality inspection processes
• Support production planning optimization and inventory management improvements.

Workflow & Automation

• Configure and maintain SAP workflows and approval processes related to:
• • Production releases
  • Quality approvals
  • Master data changes
  • Exception handling and escalations
• Collaborate with technical developers on workflow enhancements, interfaces, and automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Business Partnership

• Serve as the primary SAP functional contact for Manufacturing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Provide process guidance and SAP best practice recommendations.

Testing & Change Management

• Coordinate and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support transport management and production deployments.
• Ensure SAP changes comply with internal IT controls, validation procedures, and audit requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support activities.

Reporting & Integration Support

• Support SAP reporting capabilities including operational KPIs, manufacturing analytics, and Fiori applications.
• Collaborate with technical developers on integrations.
• Work closely with BASIS, security, and developers as needed.

Qualification Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.

·       5+ years of SAP functional experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.

·       Strong hands-on configuration experience in:

o   SAP PP (Production Planning)

o   SAP QM (Quality Management)

o   Manufacturing and inventory management processes

·       Strong understanding of:

o   Material master

o   Production planning and scheduling

o   Quality inspection and compliance processes

o   Inventory and material traceability

o   Warehouse Management

·       Experience supporting SAP workflows, testing, and production support.

·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME/MII) or integrated MES environments.

·       Familiarity with:

o   Batch management and serialization

o   Fiori applications

o   Embedded analytics and reporting

·       Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, GxP, etc.).

·       Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
