Compensation

Salary: $170,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Data Migration Lead to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation for a leading Aerospace & Defense organization.

In this role, you'll serve as the functional lead for enterprise data migration activities, partnering closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a successful migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. You'll drive data strategy, governance, validation, and cutover activities while helping deliver a critical, multi-year transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional data migration activities for SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA implementations
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document migration requirements
• Facilitate workshops with business process owners and functional teams
• Develop functional specifications and data transformation requirements
• Define data cleansing, mapping, governance, and migration strategies
• Translate business requirements into technical migration specifications
• Collaborate with ETL, development, and data conversion teams
• Drive business ownership for data validation and quality activities
• Lead mock conversions, reconciliation efforts, and production cutover planning
• Coordinate defect resolution and post-load validation
• Monitor migration readiness and communicate project status to program leadership
• Ensure successful execution across business and technical workstreams

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP functional experience
• 5+ years of SAP data migration experience
• Proven experience leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects
• Strong understanding of:
  • Data extraction
  • Data cleansing
  • Data transformation
  • Data governance
  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Cutover planning
• Experience creating functional specifications and business process documentation
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Syniti (strongly preferred)
• Aerospace & Defense industry experience
• Previous experience as a SAP Data Object Lead, SAP Functional Lead, or SAP Data Conversion Lead
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs
• Experience working alongside major system integrators such as Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, or Capgemini
• Familiarity with ITAR-regulated environments
