Role: SAP HRMS Functional Consultant
Location: Los Angeles CA (hybrid 3 day onsite )

Role Summary

The SAP HRMS Functional Consultant is responsible for supporting and optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM) processes, including payroll, time management, personnel administration, and organizational management within SAP. This role ensures seamless HR operations, compliance, reporting, and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
Core HR Functional Support
  • Manage and support:
    • Organizational Management (OM)
    • Personnel Administration (PA)
    • Personnel Development (PD)
    • Position Control
    • Training & Events Management
  • Support HR programs such as:
    • Employee Relations, EEO, Grievances, Discipline
    • Workplace safety, return-to-work, accommodations
    • Tuition reimbursement and travel management
Payroll & Time Management
  • Administer payroll processing and integrations
  • Manage time entry and approval processes (LD-Time or equivalent)
  • Handle payroll posting, allocations, and error resolution
  • Monitor and resolve payroll/time data discrepancies
System Operations & Support
  • Provide daily production support and resolve tickets
  • Execute batch jobs and system transactions (e.g., error monitoring, data corrections)
  • Maintain HR master data and organizational structures
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Reporting & Analytics
  • Generate HR, payroll, and compliance reports
  • Support audit requests (OSHA, worker's compensation, financial reporting)
  • Develop dashboards using tools like SAP Fiori, Personas, and Power BI
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshooting
Configuration & Enhancements
  • Participate in system configuration and testing (UT/UAT)
  • Gather business requirements and implement enhancements
  • Maintain system documentation and training materials
Training & Stakeholder Support
  • Conduct end-user training sessions
  • Provide functional guidance to HR, Finance, and other departments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution

Periodic Responsibilities
  • Daily: Ticket resolution, reporting, system monitoring
  • Weekly: Payroll validation, error checks
  • Monthly: Reporting, data updates, dashboard refresh
  • Quarterly/Annual: Compliance reporting, audits, payroll calendar setup

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of SAP HCM/HRMS experience
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Payroll
    • Time Management
    • Organizational Management
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, Personas, and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and labor regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
