Role Overview
Join a centralized integration team responsible for the resiliency and long-term health of a large-scale SAP integration landscape. Youll design, build, and operate integrations across SAP Process Orchestration (PO), PI/IXI, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and SAP ECC/S4HANA-and help establish robust monitoring, self-service, and standards that keep mission-critical interfaces running smoothly.
This role blends hands-on development with platform stewardship and cross-functional collaboration. Youll partner with analysts, SMEs, and end users to troubleshoot interface issues, evolve existing solutions, and deliver new integrations that meet business needs.
Integration Design & Build
- Translate business requirements into clear interface specifications, recommend design alternatives, and provide effort estimates.
- Develop and maintain integrations using SAP PO 7.5, CPI, and ECC/S4HANA tooling (e.g., SPROXY integration flows, configuration scenarios).
- Model and configure processes in BPM, BRM, implement mappings, routing, and orchestration logic.
- Create test plans, execute unit/integration tests, validate data, and document results.
Standards Frameworks & Documentation
- Contribute to common frameworks, coding standards, and code reviews, continuously improving integration patterns.
- Produce and maintain documentation covering requirements, mappings, test cases, change management, and operational runbooks.
Operations & Support
- Provide system-wide support for complex integration processes, perform enhancements and maintenance using current toolsets.
- Establish monitoring and self-service capabilities for the integration platform, resolve issues independently, and escalate when needed.
- Occasionally support non-standard work hours during cutovers or incident response.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 7 years with SAP XI, PI, CPI, and SAP PO 7.5, including at least 2 years CPI and 5 years PO 7.5.
- Strong experience in EDI integration and processing with X12 and EDIFACT, hands-on with SAP IDoc mappings.
- Common messages include 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, orders confirmations, ASN, invoices, inventory, and logistics flows.
- Proficiency with standard PO adapters, SOAP, REST, FILE, IDOC, JDBC, RFC, B2B, FTPS/SFTP.
- Experience with SAP PO Java UDFs, Integration Flows, Configuration Scenarios, and Integration Configurations.
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, HTML, and EDI standards, understanding of A2A, B2B, and EAI patterns.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- General functional understanding of manufacturing processes in SAP.
- Experience with NWDS, NetWeaver Developer Studio, BPM, BRM, SAP PI, NFE, SAP AIF.
- Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite, Cloud Connector.
- ABAP development experience, Objects Enhancement Framework, CMOS, MODS, RFC, BAPI, IDoc debugging, and SQL trace.
