Introduction

We are seeking an experienced consultant to support SAP Utilities transformation, regulatory, and billing initiatives for a large North American utility client. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, testers, and client teams to design, configure, test, and support SAP IS-U Billing solutions.

• SAP IS-U Billing Configuration and Support (8 years)
• SAP Utilities Functional Design and Solutioning (8 years)
• Rate Configuration, Billing Determinants, and Tariff Management (6 years)
• End-to-End Billing Testing and Defect Resolution (6 years)
• Functional Specification and Requirements Analysis (6 years)
• Client Facing Consulting Experience (5 years)
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Utilities experience
• Integration knowledge with FICA, Customer Service, and Device Management
• Regulatory implementation experience for North American utilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design SAP IS-U Billing solutions aligned with utility regulatory and operational objectives.
• Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing functionality including rate structures, billing determinants, billing schemas, and invoice generation processes.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, conversions, forms, workflows, and reports.
• Support SIT, UAT, regulatory testing, defect management, and production deployment activities.
• Work closely with client business teams to perform requirements gathering, solution validation, and issue resolution.
• Support regulatory and rate case initiatives requiring billing configuration changes and compliance validation.
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, risk management, and status reporting activities.
