Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

  • Develop Plans and Analytics

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II will develop plans and analytics to assess SAP functionality and continual improvement.

  • Independently, they may establish metrics, create reports, technical documentation, queries, and they will manage having these documents appropriately reviewed.

  • They may also receive assignments from their supervising manager on specific SAP requests and make necessary queries, data entries, or perform other analytics.

  • Manage Daily Work

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II will provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements. For example, they may directly enter or change master data, review relevant product documentation as it relates to data in SAP, and answer questions on behalf of the supervising manager.

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II may develop schedules or deliverable timelines.

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II will work closely with relevant stakeholders ensuring that all personnel understand and receive the desired outcome.

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II may manage the SAP Analytics and Data Request system at the behest of the supervising manager.

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II will also provide relevant reporting to the supervising manager to keep them informed on the status of their work.

  • Provide SAP Support

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II's duties involve providing direct or indirect support to other SAP Master Data Administrators, peers, and SAP users in other company departments (engineering teams, manufacturing, purchasing, etc.). This duty can be relatively wide-ranging, encompassing tasks like gathering data, submitting documentation, reviewing data requests, and ensuring that change orders are logged and submitted to appropriate personnel.

  • Coordinate Team Members

  • The SAP Master Data Administrator II may work on teams that include other company departments, technicians, and other SAP Master Data Administrators, so team coordination and collaboration is another major duty.

  • They may also serve as liaisons between other departments such as interacting and coordinating with manufacturing or purchasing personnel to resolve SAP issues.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience - Bachelors degree (BS or BA) from a four-year College or University preferred; at least 10 years SAP experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as safety rules, government contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex reports and correspondence. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; able to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Mathematical Skills - Basic math skills required with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in a variety of units of measure. Ability to compute percentages and ratios.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook); Proficient in SAP.
