Overview

The SAP MDG Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Functional Consultant will support the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Master Data Governance solutions focused on enterprise asset data within a federal SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is instrumental in improving asset data quality, establishing governance standards, and ensuring consistency across integrated systems that support maintenance, operations, and asset lifecycle management.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG EAM Functional Consultant with expertise in Enterprise Asset Management, Plant Maintenance, and master data governance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing SAP MDG solutions, managing enterprise asset master data, and collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver scalable governance frameworks that support operational efficiency and data integrity across complex SAP landscapes.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering sessions and business process workshops to define enterprise asset master data governance requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to document business rules, map workflows, and design enterprise asset master data models.
Configure SAP MDG solutions for Enterprise Asset Management, including data modeling, UI FPM modeling, workflow configuration, and process modeling.
Develop and maintain change request workflows, validation rules, and derivation rules using Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+).
Design and support governance processes for enterprise asset master data, including equipment, functional locations, maintenance bills of material (BOMs), maintenance task lists, and asset hierarchies.
Configure and support the Data Replication Framework (DRF) to ensure consistent master data distribution across SAP environments.
Support master data integrations using SOA Services, Web Services, IDocs, and related technologies.
Partner with Plant Maintenance, Enterprise Asset Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, and technical teams to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), functional specifications, process documentation, and configuration documentation.
Support data migration, data cleansing, data conversion, and master data quality improvement initiatives.
Execute unit testing and integration testing activities and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot production issues and provide post-deployment support for SAP MDG solutions.
Participate in release planning, deployment activities, and change management initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve governance processes, master data quality, and asset management operations.
Provide occasional on-site support at client locations as needed.
Follow established quality assurance, security, and compliance standards throughout project delivery.
Support additional implementation, enhancement, and governance initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience supporting SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Plant Maintenance (PM), or related SAP functional disciplines.
Demonstrated experience implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions supporting Enterprise Asset Management master data.
Strong understanding of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) business processes.
Hands-on experience configuring SAP MDG data models, workflows, UI FPM modeling, and Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+).
Experience configuring and supporting the Data Replication Framework (DRF).
Experience governing enterprise asset master data, including equipment, functional locations, maintenance task lists, maintenance BOMs, and asset hierarchies.
Experience facilitating requirements workshops, gathering business requirements, and developing Functional Design Documents (FDDs).
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, ERP modernization programs, or enterprise data governance initiatives.
Knowledge of SAP integrations involving Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), Asset Management, Supply Chain, and related business processes.
Experience supporting data migration, data conversion, data cleansing, and master data quality initiatives.
Familiarity with SOA Services, Web Services, IDocs, and enterprise integration technologies.
Experience working within complex, multi-system SAP environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Active Secret Security Clearance required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible to maintain federal security clearance requirements.
SAP MDG certification preferred.
SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and/or Plant Maintenance (PM) certification preferred.
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) SAP programs or federal ERP modernization initiatives preferred.
Familiarity with Agile implementation methodologies preferred.
Ability to travel occasionally to support client engagements and project activities.
