SAP Project Manager

Location:Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 5 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $67/$76 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader as a Project Manager overseeing an SAP implementation for life sciences/pharma. This role collaborates directly with business and technical stakeholders to manage end-to-end project delivery, focusing on project tracking, documentation, and successful execution. The position requires extensive experience in project management, SAP or enterprise solutions, and a background in the life science/pharma sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and align on project deliverables
• Develop frameworks and mechanisms for tracking business and technical progress
• Translate project plans into actionable business and technology priorities
• Ensure timely execution and completion of all deliverables
• Oversee testing milestones, including data verification and test scenario completion
• Assist in drafting user stories, test scripts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain traceability matrices and requirement logs
• Support cut-over and transition strategies
• Attend workstream and PMO meetings to capture action items and follow up on dependencies
• Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor deliverable progress

Required Experience & Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in project or program management, ideally managing technology implementation projects
• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise software platforms
• Background in life sciences or pharmaceutical industry

1. 8-10 years’ project/program management experience, particularly in technology implementations

2. SAP or enterprise software expertise

3. Proven life science or pharma industry background

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage project deliverables and coordinate with critical stakeholders
• Translate project management plan into concrete priorities and actions
• Track data verification and testing activities from a project management perspective
• Support documentation updates and maintain traceability throughout the project
• Participate in meetings, follow up on actions, and continuously monitor project status
